Mrs. Calabrese visits Ellis Island
On this day, I had the honor of meeting 88 year old Mrs. Calabrese along with her family at Ellis Island State Park. Mrs. Calabrese migrated from Italy in 1959 through Ellis Island. Her grandson, Eric and grand-daughter, Jennifer arranged for her and her children’s names to be carved into The American Immigrant Wall of Honor (he took photos of them visiting the wall). The remaining photos are of Mrs. Calabrese viewing the Statue of Liberty with her family (and great-grandsons) from the Lady Liberty Boat.
