Photos for Africa was founded by freelance photographer, Brandi Hill. Her work can be viewed by clicking on PHOTOS above. An alumna of the University of Florida , Brandi first traveled to Southern Africa while conducting research as an undergraduate. Though it was her research on the judicial system that situated her in South Africa ; it was the children who captivated her interest. Despite their hardships, Brandi was impressed by their sense of identity and tenacity. Empowered by their yearning to learn and their gratitude for basic school supplies, Brandi began using her skill of photography to raise money to purchase the needed supplies and to provide village school students with portraits. In May 2008, Brandi relocated to South Africa where she continues her work as a photographer and still organizes school supply and portrait delivery to rural parts of South Africa. You can help her efforts by booking a photoshoot or by donating directly above. 50% of the monies earned through photoshoots are used for the effort of delivering supplies and school portraits and 100% of the donations given on this site are used to purchase schools supplies.
